Maintaining a full staffed Public Safety Telecommunicators (PST) team is always a challenge. It is, by far, one of the most stressful and emotionally draining jobs at the sheriff's office, and the PST recruiters are always looking for new ways to invite people to join their ranks. Some of the recruiters from the SJSO loved what the Lee County Sheriff’s Office used to recruitment PSTs for their office, in particular their slogan: “Heroes in Headsets.”
The SJSO PSTs challenged me to create an SJSO version borrowing from Lee County's concept. The biggest challenge I faced with this project was fitting all the information onto a business card sized (three and a half inches by two and a half inches) space. Since everyone enjoyed the cards so much, I received a request to create a poster-sized version. I combined the concept of the cards with a few images from the brochure (see Brochure page) to create this piece of the marketing spread. We love our "Heroes in Headsets" and their enthusiasm for recruitment.
