My design style tends to follow minimalist architect Ludwig Meis van der Rohe's philosophy that "Less is More." I like my designs to embrace this mentality and represent a sense of order and simplicity. To break the grid, I have to have a strong reason to do it. I don't often feel that sense of disorder, so I usually stick with "coloring between the lines."
When it comes to design, I am a total geek! I can easily have a 30-minute conversation about fonts, and, when asked which I like best between InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, it is a struggle to answer realistically. They work hand in hand, and I feel like I can't use one without also using the others. It is the design trifecta, and when I'm bouncing back and forth between the three programs it doesn't feel like work because I enjoy it too much. It feels more like playing.
